Additional learning support
At Peakhurst West Public School, we are committed to ensuring every student is ready and confident to learn. We provide tailored support for students with disability and additional learning needs, enabling them to actively participate in all aspects of school life, from classrooms to extracurricular activities. Families do not need a formal diagnosis for their child to access support within our mainstream classes. Support and adjustments can commence at any stage of your child’s learning journey with us, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive at Peakhurst West.
Support that fits your child's needs
Some students need extra support to feel confident and do their best at school. We work closely with families to make support plans and adjustments that suits each child’s needs.

Adjustments are planned with parents and carers. They are reviewed regularly and changed when needed. If you think your child may need extra help, contact us.
Support classes
Peakhurst West Public School is proud to offer three dedicated support unit classes for students with Autism. These specialised classes provide a supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring students receive targeted teaching and resources tailored to their individual needs. Our experienced staff work closely with families to help every student thrive and reach their full potential.
In some cases we might suggest applying through the access request process for a placement for your child in a support class.

Learning and support team
